There were pieces of the afternoon laying on the floorboards in the midnight moon; empty bottles in a happy haze, counting lips and fingertips in dark charades. We dine like drunken lions in the wild because The Truth behind our vice is a child with stage fright. But, we'll be leaving this place soon, running for our lives, chasing longer nights with Mile High afternoons, drinking on the fly.

Every dream that ever held our hand stole the sheets at night and left us cold in bed. Monuments of memories with friends were only built when we escaped into their heads. We all go wild throughout the winter nights because The Truth behind our vice is a child with stage fright. But, we'll be leaving this place soon, running for our lives, chasing longer nights with Mile High afternoons, drinking on the fly.
